About
Brother Bill’s Helping Hand provides food, healthcare and education programming to those in need in West Dallas and throughout the Dallas community. We bring positive change to people’s lives by providing them with tools, resources and hope.
Brother Bill’s Helping Hand has been serving the West Dallas community for more than 80 years. Its core programs include a grocery store, where neighbors have access to healthy food; access to quality healthcare for the uninsured; and education programs that include English classes, computer courses and fitness programs. West Dallas is one of the poorest parts of the city of Dallas. In fact, 50% of students live below the poverty line and approximately 80% of all students are economically disadvantaged. The team and volunteers at Brother Bill’s Helping Hand are focused on engaging, supporting and empowering its neighbors so that they can rise up out of poverty.
